The percentage of its share capital held by foreign investors was 51% at the end of 2004; German investors accounted for 49 % of the share capital. Of the shares issued, 82 % are held by institutional investors (including banks) and 18 % by private investors. Deutsche Bank is not aware of any major shareholders with a shareholding of more than 5%.In the DAX German share index, Deutsche Bank shares had a weighting of 7.8% at the end of 2004. The volume in trading in Deutsche Bank shares in 2004 was roughly €153 billion, ranking the bank in third place among DAX stocks.
